The serval is a medium-sized wild cat native to various regions of sub-Saharan Africa, primarily found in savannas, wetlands, and grasslands. While the conservation status of the serval has not been formally evaluated, they are not currently considered to be endangered, although habitat loss poses potential risks to their populations.
