The rhinoceros is a large, thick-skinned herbivore belonging to the family Rhinocerotidae. There are five species of rhinos, with habitats ranging from savannas and grasslands to forests in Africa and Asia. These magnificent animals primarily graze on grasses, leaves, and shrubs, using their strong jaws to pull down vegetation. Sadly, rhinos are critically endangered due to poaching for their horns and habitat loss. An interesting fact about rhinos is that they have poor eyesight but an excellent sense of smell, which helps them detect predators and find food.
