Lynx is among the animals visitors can meet at UK wildlife attractions.

The lynx is a medium-sized wild cat known for its tufted ears and short tail. It typically inhabits forests and mountainous regions across Europe and Asia, preferring areas with dense cover. Lynxes are carnivorous and primarily hunt small to medium-sized mammals, such as rabbits and deer, often using their keen eyesight and stealth to stalk their prey. While the lynx is currently not evaluated for conservation status, various species of lynx face threats from habitat loss and hunting in different parts of the world. An interesting fact about lynxes is that they have a unique ability to leap up to three times their body length in a single bound! UK families can see these fascinating creatures at several zoos and wildlife parks across the country.
